Whiten Your Teeth Naturally
Smiles light up our entire face. A happy and smiling face can cheer us up like no other. However, taking good care of our teeth is essential in order to smile effectively. The white color of our natural denture gets tarnished with age as well as by intake of various food and addictive agents which are well known for yellowing of our teeth.
Teeth whitening agents are available over the counter these days. Most of them may help to improve the color but using them regularly for long periods may give rise to other health related problems as well.
So what seems to be the best solution? Why don’t you try to restore the natural color of your teeth in by natural products? You just need to try out a few home remedies which have proved their efficacy time and again. Check out a few of such remedies below:-
Lime Juice- Brushing the teeth with lime or lemon juice along with rubbing the lemon peel across the entire set of teeth might actually whiten your teeth appreciably. However, it is better to be knowledgeable about the downside too. The calcium present in your teeth depletes fast as it gets dissolved in the citric acid of the lemon juice resulting in decaying of the teeth well before time.
Strawberries- Brushing your teeth with a paste of fresh strawberry pulp may also work towards lightening the color of your teeth. The acid content of the fruit along with its seeds may actually damage your gums if you rub your teeth too vigorously with them. Make sure to rinse out your mouth thoroughly if you feel that this method works well for you.
Raw, Crunchy Vegetables- Hard vegetables like celery sticks, carrots, broccoli and cucumbers can actually scrub away the discolored stains from your teeth if you can use them regularly during brushing.
Lye- Wood Ash also known as Lye has the properties of a bleach and gets to whiten your teeth by its bleaching action. This was a popular teeth brushing substance back when the commercial toothpastes had not been available so readily. However, the potassium present in the wood ash may harm the tooth enamel leading to sensitive teeth. The taste of this substance is awful as well and you need to avoid using it on a regular basis.
