Water Fasting and its Uses
When it comes to water fasting, the main point to note is that it cannot be followed by everyone and can be done only with the supervision of a physician. It does not suit everyone, so it is better to have a physician at hand so that he can deal things during an emergency. Water fast is the most difficult type of fast and one must take plenty of rest while experimenting with water fast.
You must keep your activity levels to the minimum to have good results with water fasting. You must also undertake the fast in an appropriate atmosphere or in a relaxed environment. It is better to avoid mobile phones, TV, radio and PCs while undertaking such a fast. You body will be working really hard during the fast, so, you must not impede with its working by doing something that requires a great deal of energy. You must neither work nor drive while undertaking such a fast because your reaction time may be slower and safety of passengers and yourself will be at stake.
You can do exercises such as light yoga which can help in eliminating the toxins from your body. However you must take care to avoid strenuous exercises. You can also spend some time outdoors under the sun as nature can be the best healer. You can also take up such a fast near the mountain or beach or any other natural setting. The body’s entire energy goes towards cleansing the body so plenty of rest is required as stated earlier.
You can also undertake water fast in some type of specialized retreat where there are not only other treatment methods readily available but also where you can easily seek medical help. You can come across such retreats in a peaceful or a natural setting as these places are ideal for healing of mind as well as the body. Normally the body tends to cleanse itself while you are asleep during the night. By undertaking water fast you can also cleanse your body during the day. This helps in total cleansing and can bring greater energy and optimal health.
