Tips For Using A Lipstick

A lady and her lipstick cannot be parted. A lipstick is one of the primary articles to be found in a ladies handbag. Most women feel unclothed if they do not put on their lipstick before venturing out. However, you will look your best if you follow these basic tips for applying a lipstick.

Natural Color- It is best to conceal the natural color of your lips by applying a foundation and powder before putting on the lipstick. The natural color pigments of your lips may alter the color of your lipstick substantially. Consequently, you may end up with orange or brown colored lips after applying a bright red color.

Lip liner- It will help you to shape your lips if you use a lip liner before applying the lip color. Thin or thick, you don’t have to live with the original shape of your lips. It is a good idea to use matching or a darker shade of lip liner. Another simple trick is to outline lips with the tip of your lipstick. Alternatively, you can use your lip liner as a lipstick base too. Apply the lipstick within the lip line with the aid of a lip brush. This will help you in smooth application.

Contrast- It will help to bring a balance to your make up if you use a softer lip color with a dark eye color or blusher. Likewise, a dark lipstick will highlight the light make up applied to your eyes and cheeks.

Chill- You need to keep your lip colors chilled. Soft lip liners and lip sticks will cause your lip color to smudge and you will not get the desirable effect. Keep them in the refrigerator in order to get effective results.

Mix and Match- You can mix different shades of lipsticks to get unique and lovely colors. Applying them properly will help to accentuate your beauty.

Touch Up- Remember to touch up your lips after having a snack, drink or a meal. Otherwise the color will simply fade giving you a watered down look.
