The Right Way to Attach Hair Extensions

Hair extensions are a perfect solution for women who have thinning hair. They can also be used to conceal localized bald patches effectively. The method is purely temporary and you can use these extensions to sport a different look every time you feel the need.

You can easily clip on the extensions at home. The whole process is relatively quick and easy and you are spared the expenses of a hairdresser as well.

Here are some quick tips of clipping on the hair extensions:-

You need to practice opening the clips before you can hope to gain expertise. Applying a little pressure on either side of the clip will help you to secure them properly.

You can then part your hair horizontally with the aid of your index finger or a tail comb. The parting should be about an inch from the your nape. Just secure your natural hair neatly above the parting with a claw clip or hair tie.

If you plan on using hair extensions, remember to keep all the hair weft clips in an open position. It is wise to attach the central clip first. You just need to slide the clip onto  your natural hair and snap it close. Secure it properly. Repeat the entire procedure with both the left and right side clips.

Wait and see if you can feel the hair weft against your scalp.

Now release your secured natural hair from the confines of the claw clip and make another horizontal parting above the first part. Attach another hair weft similarly.

You can continue attaching as many wefts as you require. But remember to close the central clip first in each case.

You can attach small side pieces or artificial curls above your ear similarly by attaching the clips to your natural hair.

Have fun experimenting with the length, color and style.

Check yourself in the mirror. You may just find a beautiful lady with voluminous hair staring back at you.
