The Premenstrual Syndrome
Some women get their PMS every month and do not even get affected by it. They can carry on with their routine and exercise very easily. For some, the week before they get their period can be a very harrowing experience.Some women get severe abdominal and back pain. They may also feel nausea before their periods begin .Their routine life is disrupted considerably due to these problems. These women also have a heavier flow during their periods.
Some things can be done to help them through this problem. Women who exercise regularly and are considerably fit tend to have fewer pre menstrual problems. Make exercise a part of your routine. People who are suffering from the pre menstrual syndrome should actually relax, lie down and be calm by listening to music during this period.
Women also experience severe mood swings due to the hormonal changes in the body. In order to put a check on this a good idea would be to cut down on the intake of coffee and also on the intake of sugar. For people who have severe problems, and who find their feet swelling as a symptom of premenstrual syndrome, a good idea would be to cut down on their intake of salt.
If you suffer from this it is better to inform your spouse and family and explain to them that your body is experiencing changes, and that they should help you deal with it by making a few adjustments.
Once you have a baby, you will find that there have been a lot of changes in your body. You may have never have had PMS before, but may suddenly find yourself having the problem. So, it would do you good to start taking calcium supplements which will help you deal with the problem.
If you find that the problem is too severe and nothing seems to help, it would be wise to visit the gynaecologist so that she can examine you internally and do some tests which will enable her to find out if there are any other problems that might be causing this as well.
