Straighten Your Hair to Look Stylish
Straight hair is very much in fashion. Women with curly or wavy hair do not want to look less fashion conscious and go all out to achieve that straight haired look. Consequently, the market has been flooded with hair straighteners. However, much of the technology behind the process for straightening of hair has changed and hair can be styled now with relatively more ease and safety.
The flat iron is a handy tool for straightening hair. A good quality plate is essential in a flat iron. The high quality plate manages to straighten the hair easily causing no damage. However even the best quality flat irons are responsible for some damage to the hair. The heat from the iron changes the original structure of the hair forcibly. Extreme heat can straighten the hair satisfactorily but also singe it and make it brittle as well. Smooth well coated irons can minimize the mechanical damage to your hair.
Here are some tips on straightening your hair effectively with minimal damage…
You need to wash your hair clean with a quality shampoo first. Applying a good conditioner after the shampoo will prevent the hair from drying out too quickly. Dry your hair with a towel instead of using a hair dryer.
You should now use a few hair protection products like a suitable hair moisturizer or hair balm. You need to apply these to the roots of your hair. Brushing the hair out evenly now, will help to spread the products smoothly throughout the length of your hair.
You can also spray on thermal protection products if you want to avoid heal related damage to your hair.
Now just plug in the iron and glide it on your hair exerting pressure as you move from the top of your head to the bottom. Repeat the procedure on all sections of your hair.
You can use smoothening products after the straightening process. Your hair remains straight until the next shampoo. However you must refrain from being out in the rain if you want to retain the straight haired look.
