Side effects of botox

Everyone want to look younger and that is the reason more and more people are going for various cosmetic treatment that promises to delay aging process and reduce fine lines of aging. Botox treatment is one of the most sought after anti aging treatment as botox injections are considered vevy effective to reduce fine lines in safest and convenient way.However, like any other treatment or medication, botox injections are not without side effects. Although considered one experience many undesirable side effects after taking botox injections. Some side effectives are temporary and some are little serious. However the side effects are case specific and the nature and intensity of side effects may vary from person to person.

Some of the common side effect of botox infections are the feeling of nausea just after taking injection. Many patients have also complained of upset stomach as well as indigestion and heartburn. Droopy eyes, back pain, drowsiness are another side effects experienced after the injection.

There are cases where people have complained of muscle pain, neck pain and severe headache. Also in many cases there have been reports of redness and swelling of the areas treated by the botox and also pain in facial muscle. Sometimes there is also case of tooth ache, mild blood pressure and also respiratory infections like fever, running nose and throat congestion. However these side effects are of temporary in nature. They just vanish in few days or can be treated easily with medication.

On the serious note some people have experienced difficulty is swallowing and stiff jaw. Sometimes there may be some allergic reactions post treatment like skin rash, breathing problem, hives itching and swelling. Also some people may experience blurred vision and sometimes double vision because of vertical misalignment of eyes.  However frequency of serious complaints are low.

It is advisable not to go for botox treatment if you are suffering from some infection or in the case of pregnancy. Also if you are allergic to some drug you must inform your doctor. So if you are planning to go for a botox treatment, you must keep these things in mind before going for a treatment.
