Shampoos and Packs for Damaged Hair
Every shampoo and hair product which you see in the market contains some chemicals. This could be as a part of the formulation, or also in the form of colours and fragrances in the product.
If you have sensitive or damaged hair, even the slightest chemicals could cause accelerated hair loss. It is important to make sure that you try and use products which are free from any of these. You can even try and make your own products at home. These are all natural, and completely free from any chemicals. If it is summer and you need to wash your hair more often, it is better that you use these at home, as they will be gentler on your scalp and hair.
Take about two tablespoons of pigeon peas, and to this add about half a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds. Add about four reetha nuts, which are also called soapnuts.
Now soak them in some water overnight, and grind them to a paste in the morning. You can use this to wash your hair in the morning. The pigeon pea will help you clean your hair out thoroughly. The fenugreek will help take care of the hair from problems like dandruff, and also prevent it from preying prematurely.
The soapnut is a natural lathering agent, and will help the shampoo lather well, and also wash very easily. You can even use this onĀ daily basis very safely, as it is very mild. You will notice that while this cleans the hair out well, it will not strip the hair of its natural oils completely. The result is that you will have softer, shiny hair.
To make a hair pack naturally, you can take some Fuller’s Earth and mix t with water to make a paste. This can be applied to the scalp and left to dry completely for about half an hour. This will coll the head, and also nourish and cool the scalp. It can help cure boils on the scalp, and also prevent problems like itching. This is ideal for use once every week, and once a fortnight during winters.
