Sexually Transmitted Diseases
Intercourse can cause some sexually transmitted diseases which need to be cured immediately. Wearing a condom not only prevents pregnancy, but is also a good way in preventing the occurrence of sexually transmitted diseases.If you find yourself extremely dry or experiencing a white discharge, or even having boils around the area, it is important to get yourself checked. Some of the more common sexually transmitted diseases are genital herpes. This is more common in women.
You will feel sore around the genital areas and you may also feel very itchy. Oral medication may not help you and you may need to visit the gynaecologist for internal treatment.
Gonorrhoea is another form of sexually transmitted disease, and it can cause pain while you are passing urine and you may also find a white discharge from the vagina. It needs to be treated immediately, and more so if you are pregnant as it an be passed on to your baby. It can cause you more harm and other related problems. It can also lead to other infections. It can be cured by the use of antibiotics and internal applications.
Genital warts is also another common form of sexually transmitted disease. This can also cause cervical cancer and needs to be treated carefully. These warts cannot be treated with antibiotics. They need to be removed by way of laser of frozen. You will find that it may recur quite often.
Another common disease is chlamyvia. It is quite the same as gonorrhoea but is very easy to cure. If it is not cures quickly, it can affect the fallopian tubes. Its cure requires only simple antibiotics.
If you find that you are suffering from a sexually transmitted disease the best thing is to abstain from intercourse during the entire period and visit the doctor before you will be given the green signal to have sex again.
Also, make sure that you use a clean condom and clean yourself after every act of intercourse. Once a year visits to the gynaecologists would be good to rule out any problem that you may have and may not know of.
