Reduce the Blackheads on your Face
November 26, 2009
Acne or pimples are considered to be associated with teenagers. The hormonal surge taking place within the body of an adolescent is responsible for a number of mild skin problems. However, your age has nothing to do with blackheads.
You may be dismayed to find black heads dotting your face even when you are past your prime and pushing forty. Getting rid of these ugly looking black marks is not very easy. It may well be a continuous problem for some. You can try to eliminate the black heads from your countenance by following these tips religiously.
Excess of oil is one of the main reasons behind the formation of black head. It is a good idea to check your pillow case for tell-tale signs of oil or grease every other day. The oil accumulated on the surface of your pillow case may just rub off on your face making it prone to blackheads. Changing pillow cases on alternate days will help you to control the blackheads on your face.
A hot and steamy shower may be helpful as well. The steam from the heated water will open all the pores of your face loosening up the blackheads. You can also try to open the pores with the aid of a facial steamer.
Washing your face at least twice a day with a mild soap or cleanser will help to keep your face oil free apart from cleaning it thoroughly. Remember to pat your face dry with a clean towel. An used towel often contains dirt, oil and germs which will simply get transferred onto your face causing blackheads yet again. However, washing your face too frequently may rob your face of all oils causing drying of the facial skin.
A healthy diet will help to improve your general health as well as the health of your skin. Although food have not been directly linked with acne and blackheads so far, it has been seen that junk food and aerated sweet beverages do nothing to improve the appearance of your facial skin. Try to include every type of food in your diet and watch your skin positively glow.
The nose is one of the prominent areas to be infested with blackheads. Cleansing the surface of your nose as well as the adjoining T zone will help you to contain blackheads effectively.
