Protect yourself from Hepatitis
You can get hepatitis A,b,c or E. Out of these hepatitis B and C is the most dangerous and needs proper treatment and care. The others are curable but hepatitis C can be fatal; so it needs to be diagnosed correctly and quickly. Hepatitis A and E are most common and have the same symptoms as that of jaundice which is yellow eyes and fatigue. Another symptom of hepatitis A and E is a lack of appetite and slight fever. The cure for this is a diet with no oil and plenty of boiled water.
For anyone suffering from the Hepatitis B and C; it is more damaging and severe. This virus causes damage to the liver. Sometimes you do not realise that you are infected with the virus till the liver is quite badly damaged. Hepatitis B is spread by infected blood or the body fluids and also through sexual intercourse and sometimes by needles that are contaminated.
One must be careful when they go in for tattooing or body piercing as this does pose a risk of contracting the virus. You must never share toothbrushes and razors and mothers who are feeding and have the virus can spread it through breastfeeding. So you must take care.
Hepatitis C is spread mainly by contact of blood that is contaminated . Always be careful when using needles in the body and make sure that you are not sharing it with anyone. Both hepatitis B and C cannot spread through touch but there are ways that you can protect yourself from them. There is a vaccine available that protects you from getting hepatitis B. There is however no vaccine for Hepatitis C.
To stop the spread of the disease it needs to be detected early. Get yourself checked if you have ever had a blood transfusion or if you have just had a surgery. Always use disposable needles and razor blades to protect yourself against this deadly virus.
If you do contract this virus drink plenty of liquids. Avoid any medication that is harmful to the liver. Stop drinking immediately and also stop exercising till you get better as you can pass it on to someone.
