Prostate Cancer in Younger Men
Prostate cancer is a condition in which the cancer develops in prostate. Prostate is a gland in male reproductive system. In younger men the normal size of prostate gland is a walnut. When the prostate cells mutate and started multiply very quickly then it is a clear indication of having prostate cancer. In America it is the second leading cause of death after skin cancer. About 27,360 people died with prostate cancer in America in year 2009. One out of six persons gets this cancer in their lifetime.
Symptoms
No early symptoms shown in the person having prostate cancer but as the condition reaches to its advance stage then it spreads surrounds the prostate tissues. Some people have urinary symptoms and some discomfort. Some feels difficulty in passing urine, blood in urine and pain in lower back.
Who are at High Risk?
Usually prostate cancer occurs in older men but men less than 55 of age are localized with prostate cancer. 40 years old man has 0.01% chances of having prostate cancer but the man above 60 have 15% chances of having cancer. The young men having prostate cancer are at very less risk of early death if they have the cancer. The person having family history of this disease is at highest risk of having this disease. Obesity is also the cause of having prostate cancer. A Diet rich in meat can produce the symptoms of prostate cancer.
Diet
A survey shows that diet rich in high fat gives way to prostate cancer. So, a diet rich in low-fat helps to lower down the risk of prostate cancer and it should be taken. Diet chart having Vitamin E, tomatoes and vegetables like broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower provides reduced risk of prostate cancer. Regular checkups are also helpful as the earlier diagnose and then treatment helps to reduce the risk factors.
