Olive Oil Shave for Smooth, Silky Legs
Having smooth legs which feel like silk is a dream that every young woman harbors. Yet using chemical shaving creams on your leg may actually end up making your legs feel dry. Depilatators, on the other , actually pull out the hair by its roots which often result in redness of the leg along with several other associated problems.
Waxing is a painful process as well. Shaving the legs is an ideal and inexpensive solution for getting rid of all the unwanted hair. However, the legs do not feel particularly smooth after shaving and running your hands along your legs soon after shaving may make you feel depressed indeed. But all is definitely not lost. You can take the following steps to ensure the smoothness of the legs by shaving them with olive oil instead of just a regular shaving cream.
Soaking- Drawing yourself a warm bath just before shaving is a good idea as the hair on your legs will soften a little before you embark on the actual process of shaving your hair. Soaking only the leg area for about 10 minutes in warm water just prior to shaving will work equally well.
Application of Olive Oil- Applying a few teaspoonfuls of olive oil on your legs particularly on the hairy region will help to soften your skin considerably as well. The entire process of application should mimic the rubbing of a shaving cream on your legs. Olive oil is well known for its conditioning properties and can leave your legs incredibly smooth after shaving.
Shaving Process- Apply the oil thoroughly on the area before shaving. A brand new razor is essential as well. The razor should also be rinsed after each couple of strokes in order to attain a closer shave.
Post Shave Care- It will not do to wash your legs with soap after the shave. Instead, the remnants of hair as well as the oil should be rinsed off gently by using plain water. The legs now needed to be patted dry with a towel so that your skin can absorb the remaining olive oil left on the surface.
