Obesity and men’s health
Obesity in men has been a national issue since ages. If a man’s BMI is not within 18.5 to 24.9, then he requires a good exercise routine and proper diet. There are number of issues which you may regret if you do not slim down your weight as per the required BMI.
Strokes and certain heart diseases are often associated with obesity very closely. Since men’s bodies are more prone to store fat at their abdomens, bloated bellies develop. This gives way for multiplying the chances of heart disease in men by a significant number.
In a latest research, it was found that a fall is seen in the quality of sperm. And with further studies it was established that this happens in people who are obese. The inactivity and the lack of the right nutrients and minerals has been found to be the reason.
A precise reason has not been found to establish the connection between obesity and cancer in men. But the fact clearly shows that obese men were twice prone to be affected by cancer than the slim men.
It is so obvious that obesity will lead to depression due to the missing joy factor in certain activities. Though we may have seen obese men laugh their way shaking their whole belly, the fact remains that obese men are learned to be more likely to be depressed.
Along with obesity many other health complications also occur. Gout is one such problem among the many evident issues which men suffer due to obesity. In fact, obese men are three times susceptible to develop Gout.
When weight is an issue, back pain accompanies as a serious issue in obesity. The task of moving the body suffers because of the chunk of flesh and the over-weight of the body. This gives tremendous pressure to the back in maneuvering the body.
Just like the back or the spinal cord, the joints too suffer from the weight it supports. Hence, osteoarthritis will lurk around in obese men thrice the times than the slimmer men. Even if replacements are available for joints, the situation deteriorates due to the over-weight and the treatment complications.
