Natural Cures for Burns
It is very common in women to get small burns while they are cooking or handling kitchen appliances. Sometimes children also can do the most strangest things and touch hot toasters and ovens and get burnt.
As soon as you get burnt you experience a sharp pain and a hot stinging sensation. Never apply ice or cold water to the affected area instead keep it under a tap of running water. A good thing to apply on the burn is toothpaste which you are sure to have at home. It may sting initially but will actually cool the area down in some time.
If you have got burnt do not cover it, leave it open to heal. Apply ointments and antiseptics for the pain and swelling. Try putting some aloe Vera on the affected area for quick relief and healing. If the burn develops blisters do not make the mistake of bursting it out as you will only make it worse. This is part of the healing process. If you are embarrassed to go out due to the burn mark, cover it loosely and remove it when you get home.
After two days of the burn you can begin to wash the area normally. If the burn has caused your clothes to stick to your body it means that it is not a simple burn. Visit the doctor and do not make the mistake of tearing out the clothes. Leave it for the doctor to examine. If you have a first degree burn you can cure it quite easily at home.
Sunburns are a part of first degree burns and can be cured at home. If you have burns around the eyes or in the pubic area it is better to visit the doctor. If you are treating a burn at home and it is showing no signs of improvement after even ten days get it checked for any infection and extra care it may need.
If you are not sure about the degree of the burn wash it and go to get it checked. Burns take their own time to heal and it can actually be quite painful even when the new skin is forming.
