Morning Sickness: Causes and Home Remedies
Morning sickness is the nauseated feeling you experience with pregnancy. A majority of all pregnant women experience this problem. You must attend to this problem immediately because this may induce you to lessen your food intake which may be harmful for the developing baby and for your health also.
Causes for morning-sickness
Hormonal imbalances, deficiency of vitamin B, bad odor, smelling and eating certain food stuffs such as fatty or spicy foods, chemical changes in the body etc are some of the causes which can cause morning sickness among people generally.
Home remedies for morning-sickness
You can consume a mixture of vinegar, 1 tbs. of apple cider vinegar, honey with cold water before going to bed to get relief from this problem. Lime juice mixed with curry leaves consumed with honey can also enable you to get relief to some extent. You can consume this mixture 3-4 times in a day. A mixture of few drops of lavender oil and a drop of peppermint can be placed in a diffuser. The spread of this scent can curb this problem in some people. Wheat germ can be dissolved in warm milk and this can be consumed a few times during the day to get relief from morning sickness.
You can also avoid this problem by taking small meals at constant intervals instead of one big meal everyday. You must also drink a lot of fluids. Drinking tea made from ginger root is very effective in eliminating this problem. A mixture of some ginger juice, mint juice and honey juice along with some honey can also work wonders in getting rid of this problem. Tea prepared using squaw vine, raspberry leaf or peppermint and spearmint herbs can also control this problem effectively. Another good option to cure morning sickness is to take an analgesic or calmative herb such as mentha piperita as it can prevent morning-sickness for a longer duration.
