Improve Your Eyesight
Our eyes are the most important sensory organs that we have. However, we often overuse them without taking adequate precautions and this results in weak eye sight in most people. Most of us would like to obtain perfect vision again and get rid of the cumbersome glasses and inconvenient contacts for good. Mere wishing will not make the problem go away though. It is important for us to follow a proper lifestyle in order to improve our eye sight.
Diet- We all know that carrots are beneficial for our eye but there are other food stuffs equally important for achieving clarity of vision as well. Cold water fish are rich in DHA and can prevent dry eyes. Spinach and other leafy green vegetables have carotenoids in abundance and help to protect our eyes from the harmful effects of the sun. Healthy eyes also need a proper amount of vitamins A, C, E and beta-carotene. All of these can be incorporated in our diet. Eggs as well as soy are good sources of protein and help to prevent cataract formation. Antioxidants like onions, garlic and shallots also go a long way in restoring proper eye sight. Nuts, legumes and whole grains contain omega-3 fatty acids which help to lower the cholesterol and stabilize cell membranes. Eating blueberries and grapes also help to improve acuity of vision at night. It is also mandatory to supplement your diet with vitamins if you fail to add all the proper foods to your diet.
Exercise- A proper exercise is also needed for relaxation of the eye muscles which in turn help to improve our vision. Rolling the eyes in both clockwise and counter clockwise directions will help in relaxation of the eye. It is necessary to do this at least six times, blinking in between. Alternatively focusing between distant and near objects for a few times will help to increase the sharpness of your vision. Massaging your eyes while keeping them closed will also help to remove the exhaustion considerably.
