How to treat hair odour

Any kind of bad odour is repulsive. At times due to unhygienic scalp or fungal infection the scalp starts smelling foul and it can be matter of huge embarrassment. Many woman and man suffer from smelly hair and scalp but it is more common in women in the age group of 40-50. 

Hair odour is mostly because of some fungal infection. It is very common in oily scalp which is more prone to accumulate dirt and thus have more chances of fungal infection. These smelly scalp  are not difficult to treat and can be cured by regular scalp hygiene and daily care. One can treat them at home with natural ingredients at home.

Tomato juice is very important to cure the smelly scalp. Apply the juice of tomato on your hair scalp and leave it for 30 minutes.Wash it off with warm water. It is very effective to cure bad hair odour. Also apple cider vinegar is most effective in curing bad odour. Dilute apple cider vinegar with enough water and let it dry on the scalp. After that wash it off.

Lemon is another effective home remedy for hair odour. Do a massage of scalp with lemon juice and after half an hour wash it off. Also use the diluted lemon juice in water as last rinse for your hair. It will cure the bad odour.

Another very effective way to treat hair odour is to prepare a solution of baking powder with warm water. Message this water gently to your scalp and leave it for 5 minutes. After that wash it off with a good shampoo.

Also keep in mind to wash your scalp properly. If any remains of shampoo  or conditioner is left in your hair it can lead to smelly scalp. Also never tie your hair when wet. allow them to dry properly and then tie them. Also maintain a general scalp hygiene. Wash them regularly to Keep them clean. Also do not share your combs or towels with other person so that the chances of infection is lesser.

There are many medicated shampoos available in market with sulpher contains that can treat the foul odour. However before going for any medicated shampoo one must consult dermatologist first.
