How to get rid of scalp pimples

Scalp pimples are very common complain during winters. Apart from causing itching and pain, it damages hair follicles and are source of all kind of scalp infections. It is very important to get rid of them.

What Causes Scalp Pimples

Just like skin pimples, there may be various reasons for scalp pimples. However one of the main reason is poor hair scalp hygiene. If your hair scalp is dirty, it will certainly results in pimples. Also the scalp pimple is very common if your hair has dandruff for a long time. Also any kind of fungal or bacterial infection may also cause scalp pimples.

How to Prevent Scalp Pimples

It is better to prevent scalp pimples from coming rather than treating them. The best way to prevent them is to maintain an overall scalp hygiene. Keep your scalp clean.

Keep your hair brush clean and preferable wash them in liquid dettol solution. Also keep your hair towel clean.

A hair massage for 10 minutes daily is very good way to improve blood circulation in your hair scalp and will prevent any scalp infection and will stop the pimple.  But if your scalp is oily, do not leave oil in your hair for a long time. After hair massage with oil wash the oil off after 30 minutes.

A healthy diet is must for your scalp health. Take diet which are rich in protein and vitamins. Include fresh fruits, raw vegetables, sprout, yoghurt, fish and food rich in vitamin A. Avoid eating junk food and deep fried food. Also drinking about 10 glass of water will wash off the toxin and will result in a healthy scalp.

Treatment of Scalp Pimples

The best way to treat scalp pimples is to apply a hair pack of Fuller’s Earth mixed with rose water. Apply on the scalp and leave it for 30 minutes. It is very good for treating scalp pimple.

Another effective natural way to treat scalp pimples is to mix a tablespoon of fenugreek seed powder mixed with one cup of yogurt. You can soak the seed overnight and then apply them in morning. Leave it for 30 minutes and wash off your hair with a mild shampoo.

In the acute cases salicylic acid or Benzoyl Peroxide solutions are used to treat scalp pimple. But it is always advisable to consult a dermatologist before using them.
