Healthy baby tips – Tips to keep your baby healthy

Parents must first of all be healthy in order to have a healthy baby. The mother should eat nutritious food even when the baby remains in the womb for nine months as the foundation of the baby’s health is laid during this period.

One of the main factors that helps in having a healthy baby is a good environment. If the atmosphere is not congenial for the mother to be relaxed and happy, it will impact the baby greatly.

Stressful situations can hamper the physical and emotional well-being of the baby greatly. This is the main cause for a number of miscarriages, premature births or problems during child birth. Once the bay is born it must have caring parents and a comfortable and clean home to grow in the optimal way.

Safety is also extremely important to the good upbringing of a baby as babies can sense when there is danger or when they are not wanted. The following are some of the vital tips to raise a healthy baby. You have to feed them healthy foods right from start.

Keep the toys and their room including their clothes clean. Giving them love and affection is also extremely important as only this can help them grow into confident adults. Parents must maintain regular doctor visits for following up on babies’ vaccinations which they have to take to keep them healthy.

You must see that babies are not kept in close contact with alcohol and drug abusers, smokers etc.  Both the mother and the baby should take ample rest so that they can be relaxed.  Parents must observe closely as to how babies react to people, places and new situations. Also be aware of their hunger patterns and feed them on time so that they are not cranky or irritable.

A well-fed and rested baby will be easy to manage always. Cotton is the best material to choose when it comes to choosing baby clothes and bedspreads etc.

Material with heavy dye and prints can cause rash in babies. Parents can also maintain a journal on baby’s health and growth pattern.
