Health Risks From Beauty Parlors

You have to very careful while choosing a beauty parlor because facial paralysis, skin allergies and scalp burns are just some of the side effects that can result from unhygienic and dangerous treatments carried out by non professionals employed in the beauty saloons. The clients of beauty parlors are at extreme risk because of the low quality materials and lack of adequate skills or training of the beauticians which go unchecked in the beauty parlors.

Infections such as herpes and impetigo can result from improperly conducted waxing procedures in these unprofessional beauty saloons. If the spatula used for applying wax is used on 2 or more clients without being cleaned it can cause the spread of bacteria. There have also been instances where clients have been sent to hospital with septicaemia and other infections owing to improper tattooing or piercing techniques practiced in these parlors. Wrong type of henna used in these saloons can cause burning of skin.

There is also a risk of infections from improper laser treatments which are undertaken to remove blemishes and hair of clients. Staff in charge of hairdressing can be prone to allergic dermatitis because of their wet hands and constant handling of chemicals such as bleaches, dyes and shampoos. Poor quality chemicals used by these saloons can impact the short as well as long term health of clients. The main cause for spread of infection is the sub standard products, lack of hygiene and incompetent beauticians of some of the existing beauty parlors.

Girls working as beauticians do some short-term courses and start working as beauticians sometimes in their own parlors for making extra income. When quality is sacrificed for greed, the effects can be disastrous. Even the henna application on clients is known to cause side effects from the use of strong chemicals known to give a dark shade. Many beauticians also do not take care to find out if their customers are allergic to any products before trying it out on them. The callousness of these beauticians have to come down if beauty parlors have to do justice to clients.
