Hangover Cures
Enjoying yourself at a party is normal. So is gulping down a few alcoholic drinks in the company of good friends. However, the heavy and hammering pounding that you experience in your head the next day is extremely painful. This is commonly known as hangover and can be caused by an excess of alcohol intake. Dehydration as well as depletion of Vitamins A, B and C in your body is caused as a result of alcohol metabolism. Although the condition is not permanent it is characterised by a feeling of extreme uncomfort. Symptoms of hangover include dizziness, headache, nausea and general fatigue. Here are a few tips for coming out of a hangover naturally.
Drinking any caffeinated drink like a hot cup of coffee or a can of cola will help. The sugar and caffeine will increase your energy levels making you get rid of the fatigue. The liquid medium also helps in overcoming the dehydration while the acid from soda will relieve the nauseated feeling.
You may not feel like eating anything at all. But an empty stomach will only make you retch uncomfortably. Eating a piece of dry toast or any other neutral food stuff like rice krispies will help you to take control over yourself.
Bananas are extremely beneficial for getting rid of hangovers. They replenish the lost potassium of the body whereas the magnesium within the fruit eases the pounding headache. The natural antacid effect of the ripe banana will also help to control the nausea to a great extent.
Replacing the Vitamin C of your body is vital too. Drinking lemon or orange juice will help you restore the lost vitamin. If you do not find the juices appetising it is better to take a Vitamin C tablet instead.
A hot or cold shower will help you to feel rejuvenated by flushing out the toxins from your body.
