Foot Problems in Women

It is god to take care of your feet right from an early age as what you do then will affect your feet later. It is important to wear the correct type of shoes which are most comfortable for your feet.Avoid wearing high heeled shoes as they affect the heel and the back. Shoes that are pointed will keep your toes cramped and make them feel hot.

Sometimes it is not only the shoes which cause foot pain. Pain in the foot can also start due to the process of aging. If you find discomfort when you wear your shoes, try and wear it with an insole or padding which gives a good support to your heel. Heel cups are also available for this purpose. Stretching your legs and rotating your feet in circular motion will also help easing some of the pain in your foot.

If the shoe is comfortable, buy it no matter how expensive it is because it will give you more relief and avoid future problems.

Dipping your feet in warm water for about ten minutes everyday will ease the pain in your feet as well. Sometimes massaging the feet will also help in keeping the pain away.

If you experience swelling in the feet, do not use warm water, but use an ice pack instead. It will help take care of the swelling.

If you wear ill fitting shoes you are more likely to end up with blisters and corns which will cause discomfort in walking and also need you to visit the doctor.

If you need to wear heels, do not buy shoes where the heels are thin and very high. Go in for wedges and see that the heels are not more than one and a half inches. Also make sure the heel is broader making it easier to walk.

Your feet need to be taken care of just as you would take care of your hands and face. They need to be moisturized and the areas between the toes need to be cleaned and dry so as to avoid any fungus formation.
