Fiber and it’s Use for the Body
Fiber is very good for womens health and should be an important part of ones diet. Fiber is also known as roughage.The good thing about eating fiber is that it does not make you gain wait; it is not fattening.It is great for softening your stools if you are suffering form constipation and piles. It must be eaten by women who have delivered a baby as they experience heavy constipation. It is also good in controlling the cholesterol level and helps your heart. Eating fiber makes you feel full without making you feel fat. It gives you the necessary nutrients that your body needs.
Some good fiber rich foods are Oates and wheat flakes. However this should not be eaten very quickly as they can cause problems like gas. So eat slow but eat healthy. Fiber can be got even from green vegetables so add those in to your diet as well. Substitute the white breads and pastas with those made from whole wheat.
Most people eat fiber rich foods as part of their breakfast but it can be added to your other meals as well.Fiber can be soluble and insoluble and both are equally good for the body. If you are eating fiber rich foods to cure constipation you will also need to drink lots of water as it may not work if your water intake is low. When you buy things from the grocery, make sure to read the labels. To ensure that you are choosing something containing high fiber the box must read words like whole grain or whole bran. The word whole is very important.
Sometimes you may take fiber mixes which are ready made and only need to be mixed in water. These should be avoided as you will more easily get more amount of fiber from a fruit as compared to the mix or pills that you may be consuming. If you want to increase your fiber intake substitute your glass of juice with the whole fruit as it has much more fiber as when you blend it all the fiber is being left behind.
