However this can be greatly hampered with the usage of sleeping pills. Hence you cannot wake up refreshed the next day if you consume sleeping pills regularly.

Frequent use of sleeping pills can have detrimental effects on health. It is more harmful than smoking. Sleeping pills can become addictive and once you start taking them on a regular basis you can even get addicted to them. Once addicted it becomes extremely difficult to stop the use of these pills. Many people start by taking these pills during the night and then gradually use them in the morning also because of the comfortable feel it has. This can impede with their normal functioning during the day.

It is also a proven fact that those who consume sleeping pills die faster than those who don’t take sleeping pills. Though surprising it is a true fact that sleeping pills can also cause chemical dependency but not cure chronic insomnia.

The brain cell activity can be seriously affected because of the use of sleeping pills which can also impact short-term memory. Sleeping pills cause a hang over effect also and can lead to asphyxiation when an overdose is taken. This can gradually cause impaired physical ability.

People who are suffering from sleep apnea must avoid usage of sleeping pills altogether. This is because lack of oxygen can lead to ocular or brain damage and become fatal. Sleeping pills also must be avoided prior to driving as it can lead to drowsiness and cause accidents.

A person’s intelligence, judgment capacity and consciousness can be affected to a great extent through the overuse of sleeping pills. Though it may give a feeling of goodness or better health, in reality it doesn’t impart any benefits. Only the opposite happens. Sleeping pills can make a person feel all the more dull and listless.
