When to use Emergency Contraceptives-Emergency contraceptive pills should not replace your regular birth control pills. It can only help you if you forget to take it and is ideal for one off situations. Hot and humid weather may cause peeling of your contraception patch. It is advisable to get a new patch in case you cannot stick the old patch back on. Breaking of condoms is another common reason for using emergency contraceptives.

Limitations- However, it can cause unpleasant side effects as well. Vomiting and nausea are common complaints associated with this form of contraceptives. You must also keep in mind, that this particular contraceptive will only protect you from unwanted pregnancy and not from being infected with sexually transmitted diseases.

This is the ideal solution in case of an emergency, however you should be careful to follow other methods of regular contraception during planned sex. Emergency contraceptives are not for regular use and taking them as an alternative for other forms of protection will do you more harm than good. So use them only during an emergency and enjoy an uninhibited sex life.
