Leg cramps are experience by almost all of us. It is characterized by stiffening of the leg and calf muscles coupled with a feeling of intense pain. Drinking a glass of lukewarm milk before going to bed may help you to eliminate leg cramps while sleeping at night.
Warm Chamomile tea with honey is another effective way to fight leg cramps. Drinking the tea five times a day for at least two weeks will help you to get rid of cramps.
A hot shower just before going to bed will help to soothe your tired muscles and you will not experience cramps at night.
Simple leg exercises like stretching your legs far out while in bed as well as pushing your heels onto the floor with the toes upwards while standing may help to reduce leg cramps to a great extent.
People plagued with frequent leg cramps need to press their toes against a wall and stretch their calf muscles. Repeating the exercise for 15-20 times every day is mandatory. This will help to alleviate the problem.
Intake of a mixture of calcium lactate and apple cider vinegar together with a teaspoonful of honey will help to re compensate for the inadequate diet causing leg cramps.
Make sure to include calcium, potassium and magnesium in your daily diet if you want to keep leg cramps at bay.
