1.) The very basic tip for an effective back pain relief is anti rest. Most of the people prefer to take rest while going through back pain but the pain requires exercise to get cured. When the back is hurt, it requires stretching the muscles of the spinal cord and resting makes it weaker. Simple go for a walk, cycling, swimming, jogging, etc.

2.) One of the many causes of back pain is being overweight. An overweight person carries that excessive baggage of weight over his shoulders which results in back pain. Following a healthy diet helps to reduce weight and in turn helps in relieving back pain.

3.) Make sure you maintain proper body postures while sitting and standing. Do not lean your body forward or backward while standing as it provides an extra weight on your shoulders

4.) Use an ice pack to get instant relief from the back pain. Follow the application of ice pack with a massage on the injured area. Do it for 20 minutes every day.

5.) Apply a heat pack for relaxing the muscles as well as improving the blood circulation in the muscles. For some people ice pack works wonders but for some a combined heat and ice pack proves worthwhile.
