Dress for Your Date

Going out on a date can be a thrilling experience. You would love to make a good impression and start planning for it as early as possible. What about your dress? You do want to see that admiring look in his eyes, but are not very sure about choosing the right dress for the occasion. You feel lost and helpless even after having frenzied discussions with your friends. So what do you do about it? Check out the following options…

Long Gown- If you are a very feminine girl and fall for romantic heroes easily. It’s best to be clothed in a long gown. However steer clear of white gowns. White is for the bride only and you have a long way to go before you reach the altar yet. Go for pale mauve, blue or a romantic pink instead. Rust brown and golden yellow will look stunning if you are a blonde. Green emerald gowns compliment fiery red or auburn hair.

Black Dress- Nothing can go wrong with black. If you cannot overcome your confusion, be safe and stick to black. Short and simple black dresses look elegant and will lend you the much needed sophistication as well.

Pants Suit- Go for a well coordinated pants suit if you don’t want to play the hapless Victorian maid. Avoid too bright a color, dark suits in solid colors look matter of fact. It is neither too casual nor too dressy. Accessorize it with a pearl chocker to reduce the severe effect.

Simple Look- Opt for a simple frock or a straight cut skirt if you don’t want to overplay your hand. A simple strapless chiffon dress will be perfect for a first date. Do not spoil the effect by adorning your simple dress with beads or sequins.

Casual Dress- Forget the entire planning and play the girl next door in jeans and tee shirt. However, make sure that you wear a clean one. Dirty, stained jeans will not endear you to your date and you may very well be ignored the next time.
