Do You Want to Look Taller?

People have always been obsessed with their looks. All of us want to look our very best. Much has been written about the methods for losing or gaining weight but what about our height? We almost always equate tall with being handsome. Taller people also command attention but unfortunately not all of us are blessed with the right height.  Some people in their desperation to become taller, fall for scams. It is best to keep the fact in mind that adults cannot increase their height by taking pills or exercising neither can surgery make you taller.

However, it is possible to appear taller than you actually are. Check out the following tips.

Shoes- Remember that shoes with flat soles do nothing to enhance your height. Sandals or boots with higher heels may just do the trick. Wearing elevator shoes can also help you look taller. However, take care to choose a pair that is not overtly obvious. Bulky shoes will make people think that you are taller since it is human nature to equate big feet with elevated stature.

Clothes- Wearing thin vertical stripes seem to make you look taller. Horizontal stripes or large prints tend to make you look shorter so steer clear of them.

Hairstyle- Try sporting a shorter hair style. When the neck is exposed it adds on to the illusion of height. Short people with long hair tend to disappear under all those tresses. So go ahead and get yourself a trendy short hair cut if you want to look taller.

Attitude- Act with confidence and assurance. This will make people look up to you automatically and you will gain in stature even if you do not achieve physical elevation.

Posture- Standing up straight will actually make you seem taller. Slouching or slumping your shoulders will make you look defeated and shorter. Be careful to stand away from furniture. People tend to compare if you lean against a taller structure. Straighten your shoulders and back, lift up your chin and look at people in the eye. This will  make you look taller indeed.
