Dealing with Insect Bites

Insect bites can be quite troublesome and irritating and can affect children as well as adults. Flies and mosquitoes are there everywhere, but we in our homes and surroundings must make sure that there is cleanliness.Once you get bitten by a mosquito you will find that it gets red and itches to no extent. You may itch so much that you may actually cause it to bleed. Once you get bitten, one of the best things to do is to spray perfume on the affected area or to apply some powder. This will ease the itching and the burning as well. You can do this all through the day to feel more comfortable.

You can also apply an antiseptic as mosquitoes and flies can also spread diseases. if you find the itching getting too severe, there are some other home remedies that can help you.

You can apply some cold ice packs or gently apply some salt water onto the bites. Alternatively, you can mix together some baking soda with water and soak it in a napkin. Leave it on the affected area.

Since it is very easy to get bitten by mosquitoes and flies due to the ever increasing pollution and dirt, you can apply anti mosquito creams. There are also mosquito patches available which you can stick onto your clothes. This gives out a smell which keeps mosquitoes at bay.

Shut the windows before sunset t prevent the mosquitoes from entering your room. Spray a mosquito repellent in the room and keep all your doors and windows shut.

If you find that you are developing an allergic reaction from the bite of the mosquito, you can take a tablet for the same or visit the doctor for any further treatment.

If you find that you are visiting areas which breed mosquitoes and flies it is always better to keep yourself covered.Wear long sleeves and full pants. Also, when you take children to the garden make sure they are well covered and safe from the mosquitoes and flies around them.

Keep all your food covered as this can also attract more flies.
