Clothes Can Make You Look Slim

A slim figure attracts everyone. Yet not all of us look slim and we keep on struggling with excess weight as we grow older. There is no doubt that a balanced diet coupled with physical exercise will help you in the long run. But the whole procedure is time consuming and most of us do not have the patience to stick to a single regime. However all is not lost. You can look slim if you follow these basic tips while dressing.

Pants- Be careful when you choose your pants. Long, fitting pants will make your legs look slim. It is best to avoid very thin fabrics as they cling to you and end up revealing all the flaws of your figure. Capri pants ending just above your ankles will make you look slim and smart.

Skirts- Skirts ending just above your knees will make you look slimmer. Avoid mid calf lengths as they will only emphasize the bulky build of your legs. Look for a good fitting skirt but try to fit it slightly below your waist if you have a thick waistline.

Colors- Very dark colors like black and navy blue are known for their slimming effects. You can dress in a single color to maximize this effect. Matching your skirt with your tights and shoes is also a good idea. You can wear brighter colors to accentuate the best parts of your figure. But be careful to choose darker colors for other non flattering areas.

Patterns- Big floral prints are to be avoided strictly if you want to look slim. Thin vertical stripes will emphasize your height and make you look slimmer. Small faded patterns will also help you to look good.

Fit- Always try to wear clothes that fit you. Squeezing into tight clothes will not help you at all as they will only highlight the flaws of your figure. Loose and baggy clothes will also make you look colossal instead of hiding your bulk.
