Choose a Proper Lip Color
Lip color has become almost synonymous with make up. You would not dare to venture out without a touch of lipstick on your lips. Once you enter a make up store you will be assailed by the sheer variety of lip colors on offer. Not only do you have to opt for the type you have to pick out a brand too. How do you manage to choose the right one for yourself?
It is always better to choose a lipstick that matches your skin tone instead of trying to match the color of your outfit.
Fair Skin- Deep red colors with a slight blue undertone looks absolutely wonderful on fair skin. Brown and beige tones help to brighten up your complexion as well. Other brown shades like mocha or dark pink shades are more suitable for an evening out. Pale pink or mauve with a blue underlying tinge look very natural and you can wear it to for a no make up look. Pink lipsticks with a hint of gold shimmer is ideal for cocktail lunches and can even be suitable for a daytime date.
Medium Skin Tone- Deep reds and rich brown shades can make a medium skin tone brighter. Yellow undertones on a red lipstick look particularly striking if you are blessed with a medium colored complexion. Coffee color or deep caramel color can highlight your lips whereas deep pinks can lend a very dramatic effect to your lips. Pinks with brown undertones look best with this type of skin tone. Pinks in every conceivable form from sheer to crème and matte will help to enhance your looks if you have a medium complexion.
Yellow Skin- Asians having yellowish fair skin can look forward to enhancing their lips with reddish brown shades of lip color. Mahogany, deep plums or deep and vibrant shades of pink can make your skin tone stand out.
Black Skin Tone- Deep red, brown or rich shades look beautiful on dark complexion. It is best to avoid pale shades even during the daytime if you possess a dark colored skin tone.
