Check Out The Reasons For Hair Fall
Almost all of us dream of having thick and enviably long tresses, a la modern Rapunzel. But it is not always easy to get what one wants particularly when we have to go through the every day stress and strain which takes its toll and diminishes quality of our hair, as well. Sometimes, we may find our hair falling at an alarming rate.
The hair fall increases to such an extent that we may be scared of looking at our hair brushes, especially, after we have just finished brushing our hair.
So how do you get to control the loss of hair? And how much hair fall is really normal? Lets take a look.
Normal Hair Fall- Our hair is not dead, it is as living as the other parts of our body. It also has to go through a certain growing phase and will fall after the hair life cycle comes to an end .The old hair is lost making room for new hair to grow in its place. Losing up to 100 strands of hair daily is considered to be entirely normal by the medical practitioners.
However if you find that you have been losing hair steadily for a period of 15 days to a month, it will be best to check a few things out yourself instead of just rushing to a doctor.
If you had been subjected to acute stress or a mentally traumatic experience, you may find your hair falling in increased amounts. The same will occur in case of severe illnesses or surgery. However, the hair is likely to resume it’s normal growth pattern within three months as that is the, minimum time required for the hair to grow back.
Eating a balanced diet is important for the health of your hair as well. Eating too much of junk food or resorting to a crash diet in order to loose weight quickly is likely to affect your hair adversely.
It is also necessary to keep your scalp squeaky clean. Get rid of dandruff and wash your hair regularly. Lanky and greasy hairs tend to fall off earlier and a dirty scalp is responsible for hair fall more often than not.
