Causes and Natural Remedies for High Blood Pressure

The force of blood against the wall of arteries is called blood pressure. As a person become older, high blood pressure usually increases and it can affect most people. This condition can be detected easily. High blood pressure has to be attended immediately because it can harm the heart, blood vessels and the kidneys.

This can lead to stroke and related problems. As it is a silent killer it can cause damage without causing any symptoms. If immediate treatment is not given, this condition can lead to permanent eye, heart, brain and kidney damage.

Also known as hypertension, high blood pressure is seen among both adults and children. However it is more common in people who are above 35 years of age. It is also more rampant in heavy drinkers, obese people and women who are taking pills for birth control. It is vital for people over the age of 30 to get their BP checked on a regular basis. Treatment varies from one individual to another depending on the existence of diabetes, damage of any organs etc. You can make some simple changes in your lifestyle to prevent harm from blood pressure. You can discuss with your doctor regarding the perfect dosage having the least side effects for your use.

The causes of high blood pressure are many and these include consumption of excess alcohol, use of birth control pills, cocaine use, smoking, use of illegal drugs, lack of physical activity, renal vascular obstruction and others.

There are several effective home remedies for High blood pressure. You can use garlic cloves which are very effective in treating high blood pressure. You can eat raw garlic along with some water first thing in the morning to get cured of this problem. Fenugreek and coriander leaves can be also be used to treat blood pressure as they are free from any form of side effects.

Fruits such as peaches, oranges, plums or watermelon can be eaten which are very effective in curing blood pressure naturally. You can also use a mixture of honey, cumin powder, ginger juice regularly which is an effective natural remedy to treat blood pressure. This can be consumed at least two times per day. Juice of curry leaves can also be consumed on an empty stomach to control high blood pressure.
