Cause and treatment of snoring
Just imagine sharing your room or bed with a person who snores at night. It is really painful to stay with a snoring partner which is irritating and can give you many sleepless nights. Even when a large population in this world suffers from snoring problem, they hardly consider snoring as a medical problem.
Causes of snoring
There can be various reasons for snoring. Generally people who are above 55 years of age become more prone to snoring. Obese people are prone to snoring. Also women tend to snore during her pregnancy. These the general trends but there can be other resons for snoring.
At times incorrect sleeping posture can cause snoring. Also consuming too much of alchohal can also cause snoring. Often if you have an upset stomach or poor indigestion then you tend to snore at night. There are certain medicines that can cause snoring. Nasal congestion during common cold can also cause snoring.
However all thse conditions are temporary and can be caured. But when it is habitual, it can be a caused due to some serious medical problems like, sleep apnea, deep rooted stress and some cardio-vascular problem. So, you must not take it lightly and consult a doctor if it is becoming frequent problem.
Remedies for snoring
You can easily avoid snoring by certain lifestyle changes. Try not to consume too much of alchohal. Also if you are taking other sedatives and sleeping pills it can cause snoring. Take a help of doctor if you are taking sleeping pills.
Also take care of your sleeping posture. It is very important factor for snoring. Your head must be little high atleast four inches from the bed. Also it is always a good idea to sleep on your sides. Do not cover your mouth when sleeping.
Please keep a check over your weight. Snoring is just one of the many troubles that overweight people suffer from. Take a steam of nasal drop if you are suffering from nasal congestion. Also there are many anti-snoring strips available in the market. It is not a bad idea either to go for them.
