Are you Having a Heart Attack?

Any instance of chest pain causes panic prompting us to think that we are in the midst of having a heart attack. However, it is better to remember that all chest pains are not heart attacks. Chest pain can be a symptom of many other conditions as well. In case of a heart attack it is advisable to get medical help as soon as possible. You need to be able to recognize the initial symptoms of  a cardiac arrest in order to act promptly. Let us us now take a look at some of the tell tale signs of a heart attack.

Common Symptoms for Heart Attack

People suffering from heart attacks often have a sensation of the heart being squeezed or crushed instead of just feeling an acute pain. An individual often feels pain extending from the chest region down into the arms or shoulder. The back, throat and jaw area may also be involved.

A feeling of dizziness or nausea is often felt as well. There may be a feeling of extreme lightheadedness associated with heart attacks too. The face becomes pale and a feeling of extreme nervousness is usually felt in such circumstances. You will find sweat coursing down your face more often than not.

The heart beat becomes irregular or you may experience a rapid rate of heart beat which tends to make you feel exhausted. Chest pains that come and go with every small act of physical exertion. The pain recedes as soon as you rest. Emotional disturbance may  lead to acute chest pains and shortness of breath as well.

Indigestion may occur even if you do not suffer from them normally. However, if you find that the symptoms of indigestion are not responding to antacids then you need to contact your doctor immediately for an impending heart attack.

Another typical finding about cardiac arrests is that it has found occur mostly between 4 and 10 in the morning when high quantities of adrenaline are released into the blood stream. Excess of adrenaline often causes the clots in the primary blood vessels to rupture thereby bringing on a sudden heart attack.
